How to wash your cashmere sweater in the machine?
At Hircus, our cashmere sweaters are of remarkable quality. To make them, we only select grade A cashmere, corresponding to the finest, longest, and silkiest fibers. Therefore, you can wash your cashmere sweater in the machine without any risk.
Here are our instructions!
1. PUT YOUR SWEATER IN A LAUNDRY BAG
When you are ready to wash it, turn it inside out and then slide it into a washing net to avoid friction with other clothes.
2. SELECT A WASHING PROGRAM SUITABLE FOR CASHMERE
Select the "wool" washing program, suitable for cashmere. Like hand washing, it is essential to wash your cashmere sweater in cold water (20°) for machine washing. Indeed, hot water could cause it to shrink.
Choose a maximum spin speed of 400 revolutions per minute. Use a small amount of Hircus cashmere laundry as an excess of detergent could damage the fibers of your sweater. For the same reason, the use of a fabric softener is not recommended. Finally, make sure not to overload your drum; we do not recommend more than three sweaters in the same cycle.
« Our advice: wash your cashmere on the wool cycle, in cold water, with a hint of Hircus detergent
and a maximum spin of 400 revolutions per minute. »
3. Lay your cashmere flat to dry
The best way to dry your cashmere sweater without deforming it is to lay it flat on a cotton towel, which will quickly absorb the water from your cashmere sweater.

OUR LITTLE TRICKS
For a cashmere sweater that becomes more beautiful with each season, discover our tips:
> Cashmere loves water! The more it is washed, the softer and more pleasant to the touch it will be. It is recommended to wash it regularly, every three to four wears, in cold water.
> Cashmere, like sweaters in general, may shrink slightly after the first wash; so it is not advisable to buy a cashmere sweater that is too tight at the first try-on.
> Make sure to protect your cashmere sweater from external aggressions. The plastic packaging in which it is delivered to you is reusable and protects it, for example, from moths and dust. Do not throw it away !
