The reason for Hircus' existence is cashmere, a natural fiber of unparalleled refinement.
Quality and responsible cashmere
Our first priority is to offer cashmere that will stand the test of time and fashion trends. For our sweaters, we only select grade A cashmere. This corresponds to the finest, longest, and silkiest fibers, which will result in a flexible and durable yarn, and therefore a finished product of remarkable quality.
The cashmere used in the production of our sweaters is certified Oeko-Tex and "The Good Cashmere Standard"; the latter ensures high standards in terms of animal welfare, environmental respect, and working conditions for breeders.
An exceptional collaboration
To design the first branded cashmere from Hircus, the two founders went to the birthplace of cashmere: Inner Mongolia, the preferred environment of the Capra Hircus goats that are the origin of this noble fiber.
There, they met their historical partners, one of the oldest cashmere houses in the world, located in Erdos since 1979, which harvests the fiber according to the natural cycles of the goats.
This exceptional fiber is now skillfully processed by our partner workshops located in the land of cashmere, and in Europe.
