How to wash your cashmere sweater?

Did you know? Cashmere loves water! The more it is washed, the softer and more pleasant to the touch it will be. It is recommended to wash it regularly, every three to four wears, with cold water and our special cashmere detergent.
This is especially important when it is new. In fact, the first washes will allow your cashmere sweater to get rid of the excess material used in its making.
If you do not wash it regularly enough, small surface pills could appear.
After about ten washes, all the excess material will have been eliminated; no more pills should appear. If you notice otherwise, it means it is time to wash your cashmere sweater. Indeed, a fiber lacking hydration tends to pill.

Cashmere being a natural fiber, it is possible to observe a slight shrinkage after the first wash; it is therefore not advisable to buy cashmere that is too tight at the first fitting.
We also advise against wearing your cashmere sweater for several days in a row; this would prematurely fatigue the fiber. When you are not wearing it, we recommend simply folding it. Hangers should be avoided to prevent any deformation of your garment.
Finally, make sure to protect your cashmere sweater from external aggressions. The plastic packaging in which it is delivered to you is reusable and protects it, for example, from moths and dust. Do not throw it away!
