WHAT IS THE FATE OF MY DATA AFTER MY DEATH ?

The User can formulate directives regarding the storage, deletion, and communication of their personal data after their death in accordance with article 40-1 of the law 78-17 of January 6, 1978. These directives can be general or specific.

ARE MY DATA SENT OUTSIDE THE EU ?

You are informed that personal data concerning you may be transmitted for the purposes of the purposes defined above to companies located in countries outside the European Union and not providing an adequate level of protection regarding the protection of personal data.

Prior to the transfer outside the European Union, and in accordance with current regulations, Hircus implements all necessary procedures to obtain the guarantees necessary to secure such transfers.

HOW LONG ARE MY DATA KEPT ?

The data retention periods in the active database comply with the recommendations of the CNIL and/or applicable legal obligations :

- Data from your customer accounts: 3 years from your last contact with Hircus.
- Your email address for sending our newsletter (subject to obtaining your consent): until you withdraw your consent
- Data for managing opposition lists to receive our newsletter: 3 years from the exercise of the right to oppose receiving our newsletter
- Cookies: 13 months from the deposit of the cookie on your computer.

At the end of these periods, we may proceed to archive the data, especially to meet the deadlines for legal actions.

WHAT SECURITY MEASURES ARE TAKEN TO PROTECT MY DATA ?

General rules

As data controller, the company HIRCUS takes all necessary precautions to preserve the security and confidentiality of data and in particular, prevent them from being distorted, damaged, or accessed by unauthorized third parties.

In accordance with Article 35 of Law 78-17 of January 6, 1978, subcontractors undertake to respect the security and confidentiality of data.

Rules applicable to banking data and credit card

In order to ensure payment security, HIRCUS uses the services of providers, PayPlug, Alma and PayPal, certified PCI-DSS. This standard is an international security standard whose objectives are to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of cardholder data, and thus to secure the protection of card and transaction data. When you place an order with Hircus using a credit card payment, our order taking system connects in real time with the PayPlug, Alma or Paypal system which collects your data and carries out various checks to prevent abuse and fraud. The data is stored on PayPlug, Alma or Paypal servers and is never transmitted to Hircus servers. PayPlug, Alma or Paypal request authorization from the bank and transmit us a transaction number that allows operations up to the amount of the authorization. In order to debit the account during billing or credit it following a return, PayPlug, Alma or Paypal keep the banking data associated with the authorization number for the time necessary to complete the transaction (payments after shipment of the goods) and to process any claims (returns, disputes). If you have chosen to save your credit cards, they are automatically deactivated when the card expiration date expires.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT DATA COLLECTED BY SOCIAL NETWORKS ?

HIRCUS offers to use social networks to improve the commercial relationship and to offer targeted advertising on these networks.

The use of social networks to interact with HIRCUS (including tools such as Facebook Messenger, Facebook Connect, Facebook's "share" buttons, Instagram or Twitter) may result in data exchanges between HIRCUS and these social networks.
